Christmas Pageant 2016
The Christmas Pageant, "Something for Children to Do, remembering William Batchelder Bradbury, 1816-1868," was presented during worship on Sunday, December 18, 2016. The Christmas Pageant was wonderful. The children put on a great show as usual. The story, written by Pastor Ruth Boling, was very apt for the Christmas season as we should always remember the blessing of serving others. We hope you all enjoyed it and look forward to next year's show.

LIVE NATIVITY STORY, 2015
We had glorious weather and a glorious turnout for our "Live Nativity Story on December 18, 2015. Over 150 people accompanied Mary and Joseph on a narrated walk through the church grounds to "the stable in Bethlehem with angels, shepherds, wise men and live animals. We warmed up afterwards in the Parish House with cocoa, refreshments and childrens Christmas craft activities. Special thanks to The Bloomfield Chorale and La Iglesia Evangelio Completo for their participation, and to Investors Bank for their financial support.

Confirmation Sunday!
June 7 was Confirmation Sunday! Congratulations to Rebecca and Samuel who have confirmed the vows made on their behalf when they were baptized and been commissioned to discipleship as full members of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green and the Church Universal.
Memorial Garden Service Project
More than 25 people stayed after the church picnic on Sunday, May 31, to help beautify the Memorial Garden in loving memory of all the saints who have gone before. Our Confirmation Class students developed the idea as a service project for the church. Many thanks to all who contributed perennials and to all who stayed to weed and plant in the hot sun. God waited until after we were finished working to open the heavens with a much needed rain shower. Extra special thanks to visiting master gardener Rich Lynch for providing so many plants and overseeing our work.
Memorial Day Parade 2015
General Bloomfield stepped right out from the pages of New Jersey history to march with the Church on the Green delegation in this years Memorial Day Parade!
Easter Egg Hunt 2015
After the 10:45AM service, the children enjoyed searching for Easter Eggs in Pastor Ruths back yard!
Easter Sunrise Service
At the Easter Sunrise Service, we celebrated the new future God provided for humanity in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. On strips of paper provided, we wrote our names, a word to describe Jesus, and the special touch we personally hope to add to Gods handiwork. We wove our strips of paper together to create a visual representation of our hope in the risen Lord. Then each person chose a butterfly, representing resurrection, and added it to the Easter cross, showing that we belong to Christ.
The First Annual Live Nativity brings Bethlehem to Bloomfield
This year we were excited to put on our first Live Nativity. We had live animals, the Bloomfield Chorale, and volunteers from both the Church on the Green and the Iglesia Cristiana Evangelio Completo who braved the bitter cold evening to share the story of Jesus' birth with the town of Bloomfield. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this a must-see event, and to Van Tassel Funeral Home for their generous financial support of this event.
