The Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing graduation ceremony will be held on June 11th at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary of Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green. A reception will follow in the Parish House. Directions to the church are available here.
Music will be provided by a combined choir made up of members from both congregations – whoever shows up at 9:30 AM for rehearsal. Lay readers, child care, ushers, organ/piano music, and fellowship time afterwards will be provided by the host congregation, while the visiting congregation will provide the preaching pastor and help with greeting. There will be opportunities for people from both congregations to participate in these joint services. An offering will be taken at each service: pledge envelopes will be returned to the giver’s home church; undesignated amounts will be donated to a mission supported by both of our congregations.
Please join us during the summer to worship with our neighbors on the green. Here is the full summer schedule. All services begin at 10 AM (choir rehearsal at 9:30 AM).
June 29: kickoff service outside Church on the Green (weather permitting)

Each night will begin with dinner and fellowship time, then we will travel to the Galilee-By-The-Sea village and the synagogue, set up in different rooms. Everyone will get to explore the culture of Jesus' world. Each day kids and adults will leave Galilee-By-The Sea with a fresh understanding and appreciation for what it was like to live when Jesus lived

Come one, come all to a summer Bible Study! Led by Glenn Maciag, this study will be held on Tuesdays in July from 7:30 to 8:45 P.M. in the gym at the Church on The Green. We will meet on July 1, July 8, July 22, and July 29 (skipping July 15 to avoid conflicting with Vacation Bible School). After reviewing the prior verses, we will start with Romans Chapter 2, verse 6 and move on from there. Everyone in invited--so bring a friend! Light refreshments will be served.
Can you feel the excitement growing as we get closer to October 4, 2008? Yes, we are getting ever closer to our special event on the atonement. Our speaker will be Rev. Rick Phillips, Senior Pastor at Second Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Greenville, SC, author of many Christian books, and a frequent speaker at conferences. There will also be food (snacks and lunch) and music. If all goes well, this will be the first time our renovated organ will be heard in public. And all of it will be free (we will take a free will offering to defray the lunch costs). For more information, watch this space or send e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
