Family Fun Night November 6 Our next Family Fun Night will be on Friday, November 6 starting at 6:30 pm. Dinner will be served. Sunday School students, their friends, family, Sunday School staff, and anyone who wants to see what all the excitement is about are invited to attend.

Our book study group will hold its next meeting on Monday night, November 9. We will meet in the church parlor 7:30 P.M. and will discuss chapters 4 and 5 of Chosen in Christ: The Glory of Grace in Ephesians 1 by Rev. Richard Phillips. Everyone is invited! Our next Friday Night Dinner will be on November 13th at 6:30 pm. We will take another walk down memory lane to the 1940's with a salute to our military. Sacrifices were many but people pulled together to try to make ends meet and keep spirits high. Our dinner will not be rationed so bring along your appetite and your singing voice because you may want to sing along to some of the familiar tunes. Our program of the evening, performed by Karen Luschar, is "Singing for Victory - Songs of WWII". Don't miss this one! Tickets are only $8 and will be sold on November 1st and November 8th after Sunday Worship and on weekdays at the Church office. No tickets will be sold at the door.

On Sunday, November 15, the Rev. Robert (Bob) Pitman will preach at the 10:45 AM service. Bob directs the Knox Fellowship an organization within the Presbyterian Church (USA) that prepares church leaders and mobilizes churches nationally and internationally for an effective evangelism and discipleship strategy. Join him at 9:30 AM for a discussion in the Church Parlor about his work and its relevance for us at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green.

Annual Advent Arts Workshop - November 28 Come one, come all to our annual Advent Workshop on Saturday, November 28, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the gym at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green. Prepare yourself for this special time of the year with seasonally appropriate arts and crafts suitable for children and adults, fun, and good fellowship. The day will end with what is always a marvelous carol sing and then some light refreshments. It will be a great day for all ages! Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be taken to help cover the cost of materials and refreshments. Our annual Holiday Bazaar at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green will be held on Saturday, December 5th, 2009, from 10 am to 6 pm. Crafters and vendors will be selling an assortment of goods, including knitted and crocheted items, homemade chocolates, homemade jams, Avon products, handmade jewelry, organic soaps, etc. There will be a used book sale. Our luncheon cafe will feature home-made soups among other food choices. There will be crafts made by the church ladies, exquisite jewelry creations and much, much more. In the Children's Shopping Center kids only can shop for their friends, family and pets. Free gift wrap will be available in the Children's Shopping Center. There will be door prizes and gift baskets! Come and do your holiday shopping, then relax and have a bite to eat in the cafe. A map and directions to the Church on the Green are available here. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to our Capital Improvement Fund. On Sunday mornings and weekday evenings during Advent, Pastor Bob Foltz-Morrison will host a series of discussions exploring the meaning of Christmas in film, songs, prayers, traditions, and stories from our lives. You are encourage to come and bring your family or friends with you. The Sunday sessions will be held on December 6, 13, and 20 at 9:30 am. The weekday sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings, December 2 and 9, at 7:30 pm, and on Thusday evening, December 17, at 7:30 pm.
