Virtual Movie Night–Watch and Discuss “Just Mercy”–Friday, June 26, 6:30PM

This powerful film tells the true story of Harvard Law graduate Bryan Stevenson’s work to defend death row inmates in Alabama, arguing their cases all the way to the Supreme Court. The film is being offered for free during the month of June. We will watch and discuss the film together using virtual technology.

All you need is an account with Amazon (register for free) to participate.  Rent the film (no charge) NO MORE THAN 36 HOURS AHEAD OF THE EVENT. We will gather via Zoom on Friday, June 26 at 6:30PM and then begin viewing the film together at 7:00PM using a browser extension called Prime Video Party. “Tech support” will be available to any who need help with the logistics. All are welcome!

COVID-19 Update: Church Facilities Closed at Least through September 12

CHURCH FACILITIES & THE COVID-19 CRISIS
Having consulted guidance from the PC(USA), Newark Presbytery, the CDC, and a variety of other reputable sources, the Session of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green has determined that the church facilities will remain closed at least through Sept. 12, 2020. The decision was unanimous. The only exception to this decision relates to our hunger ministries. The Food Pantry and Feed the World on the Green will remain in operation in their current modified fashion. During this time, our employees will continue to work remotely, coming into the building only when absolutely necessary. Worship and Fellowship opportunities will be offered virtually, Vacation Bible Camp will be offered via Zoom, and we will experiment with new initiatives such as Movie Nights. Please check back and visit our Facebook Page for updates, news and events.
