Want to experience God more deeply hour by hour, day by day? You aren’t the only one! During Lent you are invited to join others in daily readings and weekly gatherings guided by Heidi Haverkamp’s book, Holy Solitude. We’ll meet Sundays, March 1-April 5, starting with Music for Meditation 5:30-6:00PM in the Chapel, followed by Soup, Bread and Book Discussion 6:00-8:00PM in the Manse. Music by Tim Witzal. Book Discussion led by Pastor Ruth. All are welcome. Cost of the book is $7. To sign up for this Lenten Small Group Experience, or for a copy of the book to read on your own, contact the Church Office 973-743-1796.
On Palm Sunday during 10:45AM worship, the Chapel Choir will perform the cantata, “What a Morning!” Composed by Jay Althouse, “What a Morning!” recounts the journey of Jesus from his triumphal entry into Jerusalem all the way through the events of Holy Week leading up to his passion, death and victorious resurrection.
The cantata will take the place of Pastor Boling’s sermon, and will serve as a sermon-in-song.
Are you a singer, instrumentalist, poet, comedian? We invite you to share your gifts at our next Open Mic Night–Café on the Green, Friday, Feb. 21, 7:30-9:30PM, in the Parish House, featuring pianist Tim Witzal.
Audience members are in for a treat, enjoying and discovering local talent, with refreshments, coffee/tea and good company.
A free will offering will be received to help defray expenses. All are welcome!
