Food Pantry

The Food Pantry has been providing food on an emergency basis to families in Bloomfield and surrounding communities in Essex County since 1982. We currently serve about 300 families per week, representing about 1500 people. We are grateful to the many community and civic groups and partner organizations for their generous support!

The Food Pantry is located on the church premises at 147 Broad Street, Bloomfield, and is open 9:30 am to 11:00 am every Wednesday and Friday, and 10 am to 12 noon on the fourth Saturday of the month. Currently, all food is pre-packed and distributed from the Parish House located at 2 Church Street,  to the rear of the main building.

The co-directors are Kathryn Reilly and Céline Kowbel. For more information, please call the Church Office at 973-743-1796 and leave a message, which will promptly be returned.

Donations of non-perishable food are welcome. Please call the Church Office and leave a message to arrange for pickup or drop-off. We also accept monetary donations by making the check out to BPCOG (Bloomfield Presbyterian Church On the Green) and note for the Food Pantry, and mail to the Church address–147 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ, 07003.
