Welcome One and All
The Church on the Green opens our doors to all. We aspire to be a church that feels "like home" for a first time visitor, but that offers a lifetime of opportunities to grow in faith and service. We welcome seekers and lifelong Christians, single and married people, families of all configurations and children of all ages, dyed-in-the-wool Presbyterians and those who aren't even sure how to spell P-r-e-s-b-y-t-e-r-i-a-n but want to know Christ. We are united in our desire for an authentic faith expressed in acts of compassion and service. Could we be the church you've been looking for?
While our sanctuary is closed for renovations, we worship in our historic Parish House. Ample parking is available in the Board of Education lot on the corner of Broad St. and Belleville Av. Service begins at 10:45AM. All are welcome.

Walk with Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem on Friday, December 19, with shepherds, wise men, angels, live animals and choral music presented by the Bloomfield Chorale, Ruth Hsu directing. The outdoor narrated tours will begin at 7:00PM, 7:30PM & 8:00PM. The 7:30PM walk will be narrated in both English and Spanish. Parking is available in the Board of Ed parking lot on the corner of Broad St. & Belleville Ave. Hot chocolate and cookies to follow in the Parish House. Special thanks to Van Tassel Funeral Home and Investors Bank for their generous sponsorship of this event.

Our Annual Christmas Festival Is Coming!
On Saturday, December 6th we are holding our annual Christmas Festival. Come see Santa and his elves along with all of our great vendors in the Parish House and Administrative Building from 10am to 4pm. For more info call the church office at (973) 743-1796.

Thank You Everyone for Another Successful Sanctuary Repair Matching Challenge
For a second year, a generous member of our congregation, who wishes to remain anonymous, offered to match donations made in the month of October to the Building Fund up to $6,000. Over 50 donors rose to the occasion and donated $6,906. Combined with the matching funds, this challenge succeeded in raising $12,906 for the Sanctuary Restoration project.
The First Annual Tricky Tray Event is a Success!
What a night! Great prizes, an enthusiastic audience, a fantastic emcee, and the perfect venue all contributed to making for a highly successful fundraiser. We are pleased to report that we raised $5,052.61 from the Tricky Tray event, all of the which will benefit the historic sanctuary restoration project.

AFTERNOON ENGLISH TEA is a Success!
The afternoon English Tea on Saturday, October 25, 2014 was a success. The Proceeds support Presbyterian Disaster Relief.

Children's Sunday
The children of our church assisted in worship on Children's Day, June 22, 2014, and wrote all of the prayers for morning worship. Here they are during the Children's Message with Pastor Ruth and Bible Guy, discovering timeless truths tucked inside "General Bloomfield's Illuminating, Edifying and Inspiring Bible for Young Minds."

Honoring Bruce Arlett, Sr.
On Sunday, June 22, 2014, the Women's Fellowship surprised Deacon Bruce Arlett, Sr., with an honorary lifetime membership. This is their highest award, given in recognition of Bruce's support of the mission of the Women's Fellowship and his many contributions to the life of the church.

ATLANTIC CITY BUS TRIP - Lots of Fun
The all-day trip to Atlantic City on Saturday, June 21, raised money for the sanctuary renovation project.

The BEEFSTEAK DINNER was a success!
Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on the Green's Benefit Beefsteak Dinner took place on April 25, 2014, at the Essex Manor in Bloomfield, NJ. This event raised funds to restore the church's historic sanctuary building. The event included a DJ, 50/50 raffle, lots of beef, and everyone had a good time!

BOOK CLUB
Our Monday evening book group will meet on Monday, May 12 at 7:30 PM in the former choir robe room (first floor of the education building). We will continue our look at Ephesians Chapter 2 by discussing chapters 12 and 13 of Rick Phillips' book "Saved By Grace: The Glory of Salvation in Ephesians 2." We will meet on the second Monday of every month until June. For more information or to get your own copy of this book, please see Glenn Maciag.
SUNDAY MORNING EDUCATION PROGRAM
During May, our Sunday morning adult education series "Foundations of the Christian Faith" will be looking at the great doctrine of justification. We look forward to continuing our great discussions but new attendees are always welcome. Come and try it out once or twice to see what you've been missing! For more information or to get your own copy of our book "Foundations of the Christian Faith" by James Boice, please talk to Glenn Maciag or Bruce Arlett. We meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM in the education building.
