From the blower, air is piped to boxes called reservoirs, which maintain a constant air pressure. From the reservoirs the air is piped to the windchests, long flat wooden boxes with holes in which the pipes rest. In the two side chambers the wind chests take up most of the space, so the reservoirs are located in the cramped space underneath.
